Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to Medical graduate Courses across the country i.e. National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Medical graduate Courses – MBBS (NEET-UG ) shall be held in May 2012 for admissions in the academic year 2012-2013.
Exclusions from NEET – UG 2012:
The NEET medical entrance examination would cover most of the medical colleges in India. The exceptions
listed out are
- AFMC- Armed Forces Medical College,
- AIIMS- All India Institute of Medical Sciences
- Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER- Chandigarh)
The MCI has also clarified that the new entrance test will not interfere with the management quota of the private
medical and dental colleges.
WHICH MECICAL COLLEGES WILL BE EXCLUDED
FOR PG MEDICAL COURSES FROM THE PURVIEW OF NEET PG
For Medical Post Graduation courses, NEET – PG will be the only examination for all the Medical Colleges in India. AIIMS ,PGIMER, JIPMER, STATE PG, PRIVATE MEDICAL COLLEGES will all be part of the NEET – PG 2012.
