Important Instructions:

 •Corrections in the application form will be allowed through online Authentication process.

Any registered candidate, who wants to carry out corrections is required to enter system generated Registration Number (as given on confirmation page), his/her Name, Date of Birth & Mother’s name, which will be validated from the data available in the system, before allowing access to make corrections.

 CBSE issued a notice about the Status of Confirmation Page send by applicants , dated: 11.01.2013 .

According to it:

The Confirmation Pages of on-line applications submitted by the candidates for NEET-UG, 2013 are received randomly in the CBSE. For the information of candidates, the status of applications received on-line shall be uploaded on the website as per the following schedule:

1st Lot : 15th January, 2013

2nd Lot: 1st February, 2013

3rd Lot: 15th February, 2013

Status of the Receipt of Confirmation Page :

All the candidates are requested to check the status of application and the particulars filled in the application uploaded on the website and ensure correctness of particulars. You will need the Registration number as printed in Applcation Form/Confirmation Page.

Candidates can avail A ONE TIME OPPORTUNITY to correct their personal particulars including Category in the online application. This facility will be available during the period from 1st February, 2013 to 28th February, 2013.


 After correction, candidates may print correction slip and retain the same for reference and record.

Due to correction in Category if extra fee is payable by the candidate, the same shall be paid through Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Secretary, CBSE payable at Delhi. The correction slip and Demand Draft in respect of fee revision cases shall be sent at the following address:

Candidates of NEET-UG 2013 can avail A ONE TIME OPPORTUNITY to correct personal particulars in the On-line Application submitted by them on the website

 This facility shall be available during the period 1st February, 2013 to 28th February, 2013.

Very Important:
Correction in City of Centre/Choice of Seats/Questions Paper Medium/Category/Nationality are not allowed.

After correction, Candidates may print correction slip and retain the same for reference and record.

Candidates are advised not to make any correspondence regarding corrections with the CBSE.

Status of receipt of Confirmation Page of Applications in the CBSE can also be viewed on-line on website with effect from 15th January, 2013 onwards.

National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test NEET-UG 2013 for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses:

The Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India have notified that the Central Board of Secondary Education shall be the organization to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses in the academic session 2013-14 on Sunday, 5th May 2013.

Instructions and Procedure for Online APPLICATION FORM NEET-UG – 2013

1.A candidate can only apply on-line application form for NEET-UG .

2. The instructions for filling up of application form are given under Clause 14 of the Information Bulletin.

3.The examination fee for NEET-UG can be remitted in the following manner:

  • Online payment through Debit/Credit Card
  • Payment against Challan at the branches of Canara Bank/Syndicate Bank/e-Post Office

4.After submission of online application form, candidate is required to send duly completed and attested Confirmation Page of     online application form and proof of fee paid to the CBSE.

6.Please ensure before mailing the print out of the Confirmation Page of online application form that :

  • The applicant has signed the Form at specified place and affixed left hand thumb impression.
  • The application bears the signature of Parent/Guardian.
  • The application has been authenticated/signed by the Head of the Institution/Gazetted Officer.
  • The two similar good quality colour studio photographs with white background (taken on or after 01.11.2012) have been duly pasted in the space earmarked for it. Further, ensure that application form number & candidate name has been written on the back of both the photographs.
  • The Confirmation Page of online application sent by Courier shall not be accepted.

7.Please arrange documents in the following order:

(i) Proof of remittance of fee
(ii) Computer Generated Confirmation Page of online Application
(iii) Affidavit (for candidates from Andhra Pradesh and J & K who have opted for seats under 15% All India Quota)

8.For sending Computer Generated Confirmation Page, use any good quality A5 size (12” x 10”) envelope and paste the Computer Generated CBSE Address Slip on the envelope.

9.Computer Generated Confirmation Page of online Application Form is to be despatched only by Registered/Speed Post to :-

10.Candidates must preserve the Admit Cards till the admission in College or Institution.

11. Simple steps to Apply Online-

  • Fill the Online Application Form and note down the Registration Number
  • Make Payment of Fee through E-Challan or Credit Card/Debit Card
  • Take a Printout of Confirmation Page and send to CBSE
  • Take a Printout of the Address Slip for posting on A5 Envelope


Minimum and maximum age for appearing in NEET exam 2013:

1.The minimum age of candidate is 17 years completed at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.

2.The upper age limit for a candidate seeking admission under 15% All India Quota seats in Government Medical Colleges through National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes.

3.There is no upper age limit for candidates appearing in the NEET for State Quota seats. However, admission shall be subject to the prevailing norms in each State/UT.

 Each correct answer will get 4 marks .

For each incorrect response  1 mark will be deducted from the total score.

Admission to AIIMS and JIPMER will not be through NEET UG instead it will be through the selection processes conducted by the Institutions concerned.

Except AIIMS and JIPMER admission to all other Medical and Dental Colleges (including all the Private universities) is expected to be based on merit positions in the NEET UG.
